Meet Sean.

Sean and his wife Angie have lived in Chaska since 2003. They have three kids — the oldest, Lauren, is 2024 graduate of Chaska High School, while Abby is a 9th grader at Chaska High School, and Ryan is a 6th grader at Chaska Middle School East.

Sean and Angie picked Chaska as a place to live and raise their family because of the close community and the strong public school system.

Being involved in the community is important to their family. Sean served for nine years on the Chaska Park Board, was president of our neighborhood association for seven years, was on the district’s E-8 Facilities Task Force from 2012-2014 and served on the district’s Legislative Advisory Committee.

In 2017, Sean started Even Better Eastern Carver County Schools, a parent advocacy group. We were among the groups that came forward with our concerns about Empower and standards-based grading. We stood with the families who were victimized by racism and sought constructive change. And we fought hard against the misinformation campaign against the 2019 referendum.

Sean is a proud product of public schools from Eden Prairie High School to a BBA at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to a MBA at the Carlson School of Management. I believe that public education is the cornerstone of providing equal opportunity to all of our citizens.
